Board Welcomes 2026 Class of Herman S. Geist Summer Fellows

The Board of Legislators has welcomed its second class of students to the Herman S. Geist Fellowship Program, a paid summer internship that gives high school and college students firsthand experience in county government and public service.

Board Celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month

The Westchester County Board of Legislators celebrated LGBTQ+ Pride Month on Monday evening with a ceremony to honor Benjamin Ilany, a decorated Air Force veteran, LGBTQ+ service members advocate, and VFW post commander, and Croton Pride, a community organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ connection, advocacy, and celebration.

Board Passes Nation-Leading Bill Requiring Visual Gun Safety Warnings

The Westchester County Board of Legislators tonight unanimously passed the Visual Gun Warning Law, requiring firearm retailers display images showing dangers associated with gun ownership, making Westchester second in the nation to adopt such a measure.
