Westchester County Board of Legislators

The Board of Legislators’ new Affordability and Economic Development Task Force held its first meeting Thursday, bringing together leaders from a broad range of sectors to tackle financial pressures straining Westchester residents and businesses.

The Board of Legislators celebrated Caribbean American Heritage Month on Monday evening with a ceremony honoring Lyndon Williams, a distinguished jurist, Mount Vernon community leader, and Chairman of the Westchester County Charter Review Commission, and Ted Bitter, a veteran of the war in Vietnam, Peekskill business owner, and youth sports mentor.

The Board of Legislators has welcomed its second class of students to the Herman S. Geist Fellowship Program, a paid summer internship that gives high school and college students firsthand experience in county government and public service.
